New Engines for MotoGP Ducati

When is it that Ducati will start to use the new Engines they developed??

I remember that they had to use a couple of the current alotment due to regulations, but I cant remember what race they would use the better power plant>?

It seems they used the new engines for qualifying today.

^And they didn't help for sweet fuck-all... Ducati is way behind the game.

Ducati isn't going to catch up this year, they only grabbed Vally because they knew he wanted out of Yamaha and Stoner was out of Ducati. So it was an obvious choice, but they were NOT ready for him. I think the 2012 machine, different story entirely.

The 2012 machine isn't going to be competitive either. Honda's just too far ahead of the game. It took them half a decade but they've made leaps and bounds in order to reclaim their technological superiority.... and now they've got Simoncelli and Gaysey.

I would think there will be plenty of feedback from Rossi and crew from the 8 tests this season on the 2012 bike for Ducati to actually change what needs to be changed.

But I might be dreaming.

Come on man. You need a beer!

Same circus, different set of clowns...things have moved around a little. Makes for good racing, but the flip side of things is that it was also risky for Ducati to pick Rossi up.

If they win, Rossi takes a lot of the credit.

If they lose, Ducati will be blamed. They have a lot of skin in the game.

At the start of the new era, with the 990's, it seemed nobody could touch Stoner, but eventually the rest of the field caught up. Just enjoy the ride

What he said.

All I'm hoping for are another few good battles this year. So far I have yet to see that.

If Ducati doesn't do something next year, we'll, I'm NOT going to be buying their 2012 SBK damnit!

P.S. I'm not buying the 2012 bike anyway

Yamaha was utter crap until Vale was hired to ride it. He developed it into a winner in a year.

I don't doubt he can help Ducati similarly
