MotoGP Le Mans spoiler

looks like the weekend is already off to a rocky start.....

Soup :: Edwards' Crewchief Charged With Manslaughter? :: 05-12-2011

any predictions for the weekend?? I think Pedrosa and Lorenzo will fight for the win....Stoner, Rossi, and Simoncelli for the rest of the podium.

Too much drama already. I'm gonna wait to see some times before I comment on anything.

That's a damn shame about Edwards' crew chief. It's not entirely implausible that the rider he backed over was a fan who just got up a little too close to check things out.

Stoner
Pedrosa
? - Could be anyone.

I'd like to see Spies have a good round.
I'd like to see Simoncelli maintain his practice and QP times in the race, and not crash out early. ( He's the new 'Crashey' imo).
I'd like to see VR start going fast on the Ducati. He should, because their putting a lot more effort into that bike, than they ever did for Stoner. New 'frame' (if you can call it that), for Ducati this round, so it should improve.
No doubt 'you lot' will gift Hayden and Rossi an excuse because of such with comments like; "Oh they're still testing it, it's new, it's only Rossi's 4th round on the bike" ... bla bla bla).
Wonder who's gonna be the first to fly that flag?

Everyone was really pushing in FP1. Moto2 was even more entertaining.
Good to see Casey laying down some early 'smack'. Consistent fast laps from the get-go, and his fastest was inside the circuit lap record.
Pedro' was on the soft/soft tyre option as well, and not far behind, but he didn't look as determined and composed as Stoner.
Casey is gonna put Pedro' in his place this round. And he needs to.

I think I saw Rossi lose the front once, and the rear twice. He was really trying hard. (All be it well over a full second off the pace).

I'm sure Lorenzo is just warming up. He's just so smooth it didn't look like he was breaking a sweat. But I'm not disappointed he's a bit off the pace at the moment.

So it's all Honda so far. But yeah, yeah, it's the best bike on the grid isn't it?
Wonder who'll be the first to fly that flag... or is that already at full-mast?

All riders getting faster, especially Stoner. He's flying. Consistently lapping in the low 1.34's and the only rider to break into the 1.33's. On hard tires too!
Pedrosa was the only rider to go slower this session.

Happy to see Hayden going faster than the 'the goose'. Yet neither of them anywhere near to Stoner's pace.

Always good to see Lorenzo a second off the pace too!

Stoner is going to 'clean house' this round, (providing no idiot knocks him off his ride)...

All riders went faster except Pedrosa. He was very close to his FP1 time, but he didn't beat it. That doesn't sound good for him. I think Lorenzo will continue to get faster as he usually does over a weekend. I would love to see Hayden and Randy be the top Ducatis this weekend and maybe get a podium. I would love to see Sto, Sic, Hay, RdP. Lets hope the rain stays away.

Its good to see Nicky getting along better with his Duc. That was a big improvement over FP1. Hopefully he improves some more over the weekend.

Nice to see Stoner back to his fast form on a track he really doesn't like much. In the past his best ever finish at LeMans was third back in 2007.

JL's the most consistent rider out there by far and will continue to be 1st, 2nd or 3rd every race (whatever is the best potential finish for the M1) week in and week out. Like him or not that's why he's going to repeat!!
