mounting class action law suit

If anyone is interested, there is a link in a recent post in the "Tank Problem" thread that takes you to a registration form with a law firm in Cali who is trying to mount a class action law suit against Ducati for breach of the warranty contract. DNA keeps replacing bad tanks with bad tanks and not actually fixing the problem.

I registered and they contacted me within 24 hours. Unfortunately, it sounds like the only legit way to get a permanent fix to the tank issue.

It's really disappointing that it's come to litigation. Please keep us posted as this progresses. If there's a "critical number" tipping point to make this work I suspect the forum could supply the plaintiffs.

Sounds like fun. Can I join even if I don't have a SportClassic? It seems like this might get me some more spare change.

Verizon Class Action Suit was filed, and won by the plaintiffs, I received a $0.73 check in the mail.

On a more serious note it is terrible that this is the only way to get a legit fix.... Hopefully!

I'm sure the lawyers will be very happy for you to register, they're the only ones that get any money in these things

compensation is irrelevant to my motivation. 3 tanks in 1500 miles has gotten old. i like my bike and i'm gonna keep it for a long time. i just want a fuel tank that's not defective. that is all.

I understand Gold, that would irritate me very much so. Three tanks in 1500 miles? I would have lit the bike on fire and ghost ridden it through Ducati North America's front door. Hope this action can bring about a legit and lasting fix for the problem.

This is unfortunate but it's the result of Ducati's non communication to it's customers regarding an obvious problem that spans several models over a period of several years. I don't want any money, I don't want Ducati to be financially strapped, I just want what I paid for, a gas tank that works...

That's the answer: Sue them. Sue 'em right out of business. Serves 'em right! Making you buy these bikes...bastards!

Guess there's always Moto Guzzi, right?
