Bent rear brake pedal.
So I bent my rear brake pedal (don't ask ), and a new one will cost $86. Is is possible to bend it back? I've heard the only way to do that is with some heat, and a little patience. The pedal is completely usable, and will pass inspection. It just looks like total ass.

I let my GT lay down in a parking lot (please, don't ask how) and bent the rear brake lever. Rode the bike home, removed the lever and straightened it out in the vise using a plastic hammer. No stress cracks, no problems. That was a couple thousand miles ago.

I'll take a picture today, to show just how it's bent. It seems more like it's the small toe-peg that's bent, more than the pedal arm itself, if that makes sense. Hopefully I can still bend it back.

Well yeah if you plan to keep dropping bikes!
On a serious note, I have bent many a shift/brake lever on dirt bikes over the years, take your chances bending them back if it does not snap your $86 dollars stays in your pocket.

Note to self: add spare brake pedal to on-board spares kit. Or, maybe only a vice and plastic mallet.

Many have a medium set of vice grips in kit, can be a brake pedal or shifter in pinch to get home...
Just clamp it to the shaft
