COOL Tool
Well, we all know that the WASP makes some pretty impressive parts with precision quality.... well I'm here to tell you all that I've raised the bar to a new level....
WASP, move over sunshine, there's a new kid on the block now.... ME!!!
They say that necessity is the mother of all inventions and this was certainly the case here.......
Being a self confessed Discovery channel addict with a "Biker Build Off" dependency, I was recently inspired to have a crack at pulling my PS1000 apart and get the engine casings, cam belt covers, clutch cover and wheels all mirror polished.
All was going well until it was time to remove the clutch hub hex nut which is torqued up to 180Nm... unfortunately I did not have the hub locking tool, so I tried everything possible to stop that damn hub from spinning. In the process I managed to bend 2 screwdrivers, tear skin off my knuckles and worst of all, snap 4 of the 6 clutch spring pins clean off the hub.... !@#$%^&!!!!!
For the next 10 minutes I stared at that Fking nut, thinking to myself, your not going to beat me muddapharkar... however I weakened and conceded that I had to spend more $$$$ to buy the right tool. But then, in a moment of clarity it came to me..... I need to make my own tool...
What followed was pure genius... I had intended to replace the clutch plates whilst I had it pulled apart, so I thought I'd put the old ones to good use!! So I gathered the necessary components and what you see below is the result.
Precision machining, undeniable quality and best of all... it worked!!! I particularly like the feature where you bolt the handle to the heal guard.
PS - note missing spring pins.
Shipping NEVER, I promise I will never, ever, ever ever ship this item. It's a one off.... anyone is welcome to borrow it, but it's not for sale... until I become a Vendor..... get it?

Now THAT should keep that pesky mother from spinning! Thinking outside the box! Nicely done.

When asking a Ducati owner if he had any problems with his bike, his response was:
"The only problem I've had is attractive women divesting themselves of their clothing and rubbing their naughty bits on my leg while they lick the gas tank. Makes it hard to pull away from a red light,...... sometimes."

Heh, heh, heh... I like the irony. Flyer disses the WASP, but then it takes the WASP's astute brain power to actually post the pictures.
Good tool though...
