aluminum tanks

This subject has been hit fairly well and mention of development in a prior thread. What about the tank shop in the uk? www.thetankshop.com

Tank shop prices seem pretty good.

I had also contacted another individual some time ago in California I believe and cost was approaching 4k... It has been done before as this was the estimate I was given from past experience building one. Obviously they are hand made and not stamped.

Additionally while in Richmond VA, I stopped at Velocity Motorcycles and found a 70's supersport with an alum. tank. Very nice and not too much diff than on my bike. someone made it...

If they are interested, try them. He'll have a good customer base.

I have heard of this guy from people who have used him, while the work itself is very good he usually requires the bike to be there while he does the work and he can be very slow due to being a one man operation.
This might limit options for those who are too far away to visit.

nice work indeed, the link to the tank shop has been posted several times now,
and as stated before, he will never be able to produce enough tanks to keep up
with the demand.

that's from the bottom of his homepage:

"PLEASE NOTE: Delivery time on tank orders at the moment is 20 weeks"
