Talking just showing off my baby

Just wanted to post some pics of my number one sweetheart . First off I must say how insanley cool the Zard exhuast sounds.LOUD ,but soooooo cool. I also thought that there was going to be rear brake fade due to how close the pipe runs to the remote resevior, but none that I could tell. I've done a few suttle mods like, rear fender chop, pipes, clutch pressure plate, stainless clutch springs and caps. Billet open clutch cover, billet remote reseviors for the front brake and clutch, and for the ocassional track day, a steering damper.I also added a pair of CRG lane splitting mirrors but no pics with them on the bike yet.

Like the Zards! Curious about how it runs though . Any popping or backfiring on deceleration? How's the rear header looking? Have you done anything with the ECU to richen the mixture?

Mine seems to be in a very lean condition, and I'm asking all these questions to ascertain whether or not my bike is a fluke amongst all the Sport 1000's out there with the Zards. Thanks for any info you can provide

sup ducremus! I'm getting the same popping/backfiring with stock pipes with Zard pipes I'm assuming I will get even more backfiring

In stock trim, it ran fine: nice, quiet, mellow rumble, no backfiring or popping at all. Put the Zards on and all h**l broke loose . The Zards were said to be designed for the stock ECU and airbox, but so far it looks like they missed the mark, for sure. Near as I can tell, I have two options to get this bike running properly:

1) Buy the '05 DP chip that comes with the Termi full system. Now, if you buy the Termi full system, it costs around $1700.00 with the chip. If you want to buy just the chip, well that'll be $1120.00, thank you very much

2) Bring the bike to a very high end Duc tuning shop, and they can fiddle with the stock chip plus add a PowerCommander, all to the tune of $750.00, again, thank you very much.

The cheaper option would seem to be the best, as it includes full Dyno tuning, while the Termi chip is not tunable, according to said shop. Unfortunately, said shop is 3 hours away

what exactly do you mean?...they say that the termi chip (ECU) cant be tuned with the Zards?

That's what they're telling me . Several folks here have said that you can adjust the trim (whatever the h**l that is), and do some very minor adjustments, but that's about it, but both FBF and BCM say no. You're not the only one that's confused !
