I ordered these the last week in April and they arrived last week. These are the 40 liter Junior Flash cases. I went with this size over the 30 liter cases for its ability to hold a full face helmet (great for trips to the store). I ordered the rack at the same time (which the supplier had in stock). It only took a couple of weeks to receive. The cases had to come from Germany.
As you can see in the photos, it will hold an XL Arai full face helmet. Just as a reference, the cases stick out right around 8.5 inches from the outside of the stock exhaust.
Goodbye bungee madness. You've got enough capacity for a week or a year. They hang behind the axle so you may want to put heavy items on the seat behind you or in a tankbag.
the practicality is undeniable, but IMO it looks like the bike would be as sturdy to ride as a camel... do you feel any difference? it seems dangerous having them sit so far back...
I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. I had to postpone a trip I had planned earlier this month (which the cases wouldn't have arrived in time anyways). Hopefully, I'll be able to reschedule sometime in July. I'll check in after I get some use out of them.
Really, the majority of the weight won't sit back any farther than a passenger would. Plus, the way I have my bars set, I put a lot of my weight forward...maybe if I had the stock or high rise bars on I would be more concerned how far back they sit.
I think width is more my concern than anything. I'll have to get used to the weight hanging that far off of each side. I'm afraid it may feel like driving a B-52 down the road now . I'll definitely need to be more aware of how close I am to that yellow line .
Like I said, I'll report back after I get a chance to use them.

Wow, they look great, much better than the Ducati leather bags, When I had my GT I was seriously considering getting those. I wonder if they would fit a 1000s?
I love these posts of you guys throwing hard luggage on your GT's! You definitely can't get a better set of luggage - the HB stuff is very well made. It does seem like sacrilege to take the touring aspect so far because the naked lines are so clean. But I am surprised that when I look at the pics with bags it doesn't put me off at all. In fact, I dig the look quite a bit. Would love to see a ride report and pics as to how they functioned on a long haul.
