Arrow '07 Sport 1K Biposto with Mono Exhaust

So does anyone remember this post I made awhile back?

Arrow 2-1 on '07 Sport

Well I gained a lot of confidence through some conversations with Mark at Eurocorsa in Toronto, Canada. He spent quite a bit of time on the phone with the folks over at Arrow in Italy and confirmed that the '06 2:1 full exhaust would fit with a few "tweaks". Upon intial install, the collector pipe was touching the underside of the front right side peg. Of course, I also would have to fabricate a bracket to attach it to the passenger peg exhaust mount, too. I took it to a local exhaust guru and he was able to make two cut / welds on the collector that allowed for about 5mm clearance under that peg and also allowed me to get the right upsweep with the can to get the bracket as close as possible to the same position as the stock can. I made a temporary adapter out of some aluminum, but I'm going to make several cardboard templates until I come up with something that I'll be happy with long term. The pics tell the rest of the story.

I'm stoked that I made the leap as it has the sound that I want. It's not as loud as I thought it might be (quieter than the double carbon can Arrow set up that I had on my Monster S2R), but the key is that it has the deep and throaty sound. I'm also very happy with the cosmetics. I like the single side exhaust and the left side still looks good without the can...plus I saved almost 15 pounds!

So, if you're not too squeamish about having someone take a cutter and torch to a brand new $1K+ exhaust, then you might give it some thought.

Thanks.

As for Denver, I have to "sneak" in and out of my neighborhood before I worry about that as I've got several law enforcement officers living on neighboring streets and I don't want to show up on their radar. I found that riding a gear high typically keeps things mellow until I hit the main throroughfare though!

I am very glad to hear that. My Arrow 2-1 is winging its way from Italy as we speak, and I was a little concerned that it might be overly loud. My neighbors are pretty tolerant, but everyone has their limits.

I haven't got around to a sound clip yet, but as long as you keep the throttle conservative it's not too loud. On the other hand, when you open it up it can be quite loud. I didn't realize this fact until I had my dealer throw it up on the dyno during their open house. As he approached the redline I could no longer stand near the dyno without holding my ears! Although my bike was not even close to making the power that many of the bikes there were making, a lot of the employees and other people there said it was the best sounding

I think some black rims would look great on that bike

Great looking set up! I like when people 'make it their own'.

Hi Devin,
I (getlost) appreciate your info. & pics on fabricating the Arrow mono exhaust on the 2007 biposto, very enlightening. Did you have any issues with the ECU? Did it need remapping?
Thanks,
Bill
