Another tweak to my frankenGT (Renthall MX bars)

Added these yesterday:

Here's a comparison between the old height and new:

OLD:

And NEW:

I know I look wasted... I had literally gotten home from my 22 mile highway commute about 5 minutes earlier!

They're the perfect drop now. All I really need to do now is get my seat modded so I don't slide into the tank as much, then she'll be perfect.

How tall are you? Looks like you have a couple inches on me. I want to lower my bars, but I also want them back just a little bit (but not angled back..)

Also, where/how much did you pick up the bars, looks good....

I'm 6'3" and I picked up the bars from Cycle Gear on sale for $44. They're normally $80 I think.

they're motocross bars, so I had to take the center bar off and clean them up a bit but I think they turned out really nice.

Excellent mod! Isn't it great when you can completely change the look and fell of the bike with something as simple and inexpensive as a set of handlebars? Great stuff, the look almost S4R-ish...

It looks great. Really nice.
Might look cool with a cowl on it as well.

Cool mod. I replaced the stock bars on my S3 with Renthal Ultra-Lows and loved them. I'm guessing no cable changes were needed. Here are the ones I installed, in the Ti finish.

Renthal

Which grips did you purchase for the bars?

I think those are actually the same bars. The cables work fine as well.

I have bigger hands, so standard sport bike grips cramp me up. I use these silly $5 foam grips and love them.
