Anyone done the Termi install themselves?

I ordered the Termi silencers, air box cover and ECU kit for my GT1000. Can't wait to here what she sounds like with no or modified baffles

I'm fine to install any of the physical bits myself but is there anything special that I need to know about installing the ECU? Is this something I can install myself, then ride to the dealer for any needed resets?

Can I install the silencers and then wait on the ECU for the dealer?

Has anybody here installed the termi kit themselves?

I don't want to pay a Ducati service department more than I need to. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Bongo

I did a 2 into 1 install on my Smart without any guidance and t'ain't no big deal. Just make sure the pipes sections seat well, never torque anything up until everything fits nice. The ECU is just an unclip, unplug, replace and do the reverse order kinda thing. Don't waste your hard earned bread on stuff that doesn't need a technician's training/experience. -Capt

Thumbs up termi install

Bongo, I installed the termis on my GT. Its real simple. Be careful when you disconnect the ecu. The pin lock can break if pushed to hard. I also found the new ecu alows the headlight to stay on about 10 seconds after ignition is shut off. I asked our duc. rep. about this and he said its a feature that trickled down from the euro ecu. After system is installed you will need to take it to the dealer so the tps can be reset. I also removed baffles from mine. have fun!
