Spirit of the 70s GT1000 Custom
Tim & Kev at Spirit are starting on a GT1000 project which I am very excited about.
Follow the build on The Bike Shed.
Here's the artwork...
I've also written up a Ducati Sport Classic custom story here featuring loads of your bikes from the Best of the Best thread.
Enjoy.

Beautiful design! I can't wait to see it come to fruition.

Fantastic, except... those side panels aren't doing it anymore. They just look out of place. Plus, a bike cafe'd that hard needs to have open triangles. I feel like they stole their exhaust right out of my head. I've been dreaming up something a LOT like that for months

I'm with you on that. I'll try to persuade Tim & Kev, ...but on the other hand it does make it a little different to the other cafes out there... We know it's GT feature, but from an outsider's perspective it looks original.

On the stock GT1000 the tank looks to large. On this concept the reduced size of the tail section and the headlight make the stock tank look even larger. Perhaps a smaller tank from a 90's 900SS could be sourced and used.

Love it! Love it! Love it!
Keep on bringing it SotS...beautiful concept (side panels and all), except that exhaust silencer is a wee little thing. Maybe something the size of the Spark would be just right?
Still, who am I to complain?
Cheers,
Tmnstr
