Sport Classics in Vancouver Canada, August 4-6, 2012
Ok guys...its my day off tomorrow so I am up in the wee hours posting ....I was out for dinner with my good pal\ drummer\ 1098 rider Curtis and we got to talkin bout Rossi's bike and others we have hashed over in the past...as well as all the charachters on this board and a few other Ducati lunatics we know.
Anyhow we realized that Vancouver would be a great location for a Ducati \ Sport Classic get together. This place is one of the most scenic places on the planet and has some unbelievable roads you could imagine with its mix of coastline, mountain and high plains' terrain and unspoiled unimaginable vast wilderness rife with canyon roads and every combination of twist, turn and straight you can imagine.

Here's the all important deets:

Getting here would be a cake walk for all you guys from California, Oregon, Washinton and a few other states as well my fellow Canadians here in BC and Alberta ....
What say ????

A Vancouver SC meet-up sounds good to me.
Perhaps a Saturday ride out of the big city with an overnight in Whistler, or Madeira Park, or Tofino the Island? I am not familiar with the roads around Vancouver so it would be fun to explore a bit.

15 hrs, should be doable in a couple days... The odds of me being off work are not good though...

For me:
1,296 mi, 22 hours 0 mins
I-5 North
Unless I fly to Seattle, meet up with them WA folks, rent/borrow a bike, slap some Ducati stickers on it, and ride it to Vancouver.

I would very seriously consider it. 6-10 days a good estimate from SC?

Vancouver BC? Now there's a novel idea! Are there roads that would make nice 100-200 loops out of and into the city?
And on an un-related note, any chance you can still smoke in the bars? (It's been a while since I was up there...)
