Noob Question: '08 & '09 SC1000's parts compatibility

Are all parts interchangeable between the '08 and the '09 SC1000, e.g. mufflers?

I think it depends on the model. Generally GT to GT would work, Sport to Sport would work (with some exceptions in the 06 mono vs later bipostos), and then there are some specific body parts for 1000S/PS.

One thing I've never been quite clear on, Ducati's model history site says there was no Sport 1000 model for 2009 (there was only the GT and black 1000S), but some people have listed 2009 as the year for their Sports. I know, for example, the bike I got is a 2008, but wasn't sold new until the middle of 2009. Is it probably just a case of people confusing model year and sale year?

Compare the two mufflers: one (top) is supposedly from an '08 SC1000 while the other off an '09. Both have different tips. Is fit the same?

It's an optical illusion. The angle of the camera makes the on bike picture look more straight than the off bike picture. I have a GT1000 and went through the same mental gymnastics wondering if my Termi's were different than other people's...then I happened to take a picture of my bike and they looked perfectly straight, even though they are angled (more so on the Sport1000).

The reason why these parts look different is because the pipes on the bike are after-market termignoni pipes, and the pic on the bottom is a stock pipe.

They both go on the same bike.

This is so elementary it took me a moment to figure out what you were asking...
