410 euros is a great price for new tank even if it has to be repainted another color. Good to keep as a backup.

I've been looking at this guy's stuff too considering buying one if I am unable to get DNA to replace mine, looks like he has these red ones for the Sport 1000 (not S, notice the cutout for the ignition), a black one for a 1000S (or PS if you painted it) and then a 2 tone silver GT1000 (wasn't aware of this color combo but I haven't looked into the GTs as closely). I sent him a message last week asking about shipping to the US but no reply, then again he may not speak English and I don't speak Italian... as I understand it though, if you buy one outside of Europe you should also be able to deduct 20% of the price for VAT.

Reason: clarifying VAT comment

What else should it be…
We have three types of tanks… SC 1000 naked… SC 1000 with fairing… GT 1000

I bought a black 1000s tank from the seller in Italy.
The transaction was smooth, and the tank did arrive. At that price, I thought it would be a good back up tank if ever I needed one. So for the time being, it is being used as some wall art. Once I get a spare set of fairings, I might change the bike to a black one.

Sorry for thread tangent here but I always get a chuckle that the URL for the Italian EBay is subdomained with "wap". Funny Network/DNS guys...
