Any SC Owners here also own a SS?

I am looking at getting a second bike, to compliment my 06 SC1K monoposto. The first goal is to get something that will facilitate a pillion. The second goal is to find something with a less aggressive riding position. I have looked at Monsters, Hypermotards, and Multistradas. The Monsters don't seem great for a passenger, and the Multistradas are a bit tall for me.

I just found a very low mileage 1999 750SS, and wonder if any one here owns one, or has a history with those bikes. My real question is just how do the ergos compare.

I feel my monoposto is a torture rack to ride, better with the risers, but still very uncomfortable to ride long distances. It is not my wrists or back that suffer, but my neck. How are the ergos on the Supersports, specifically, the 1999-older Terblanche designs?

Seat is better than a monster for a passenger for sure but rider ergos are nearly as brutal as an SC. Similar to an SC with the 2007+ risers. The 750 is also a bit of a slug in the engine department. Really, you could do better for your intended use.

ST3/4 out of the question? Would be the most comfortable 2-up for you and imagine seat height better than the Multistrada.

I also had an old carbed SS, I thought it was a lot more comfortable than the SC, the seat was lower and the stretch to the bars is not as long meaning the clip ons are comfier even though they are still low.

Another Sport Classic? The GT1000?

I've owned a Monster & appreciate your concerns regarding pillion space (as does Mrs H). I managed fine on an older 620 Multistrada, but the newer 1100version was more of a stretch for me than my GT.
