another possible fork option?
I was at the garage today working on the track bike and noticed that the front forks look damn good for stock. They are black adjustable Showas and they come with monoblock tokico 4 piston calipers. I was reading about fork swaps and see that the important dimensions need to be 50 tup and 54 bottom, are there any other dimensions that come into play for a swap of forks? I had the bike on a head stand and measured the free length, it measured 29" from top of fork to bottom of fork. There are also Ohlin's drop in cartridges available if someone wanted more of an upgrade.
So for the experienced bike techs that have done fork swaps please give me some insight. I will be getting my SC in a few weeks and I might be tempted to test fit some parts when they are side by side.

Sorry about that
The announcement is a bit premature
BUT
I have been working on it for nearly two years
and we are very close now to getting these the way we want it with the options that customers want at a decent price.
keep in mind this will be higher in cost then the Cartridge kits on the stock showa forks
but at least is will be a no fuss plug and play fork.

Good to know
It's great to hear that there will be an Ohlins option available. Was there already Ohlins front forks made for sport classic? I could have sworn that I saw them available for SC's and they were $3600. But If JCP is coming out with the same thing for less then I will most likely get a set for myself. I really don't want to take two bikes apart, and try to make pieces fit.
Oh and by the way, the measurements were taken from my 09' CBR600RR.

The cbr600 may b too small for the sport classic
Maybe the 1000 forks may work
Nevertheless
I just got off the phone with my Ohlins suspension Guru
It is looking very good and we are trying very hard to keep the price below $3K

Could very well be that. Once we run the numbers and get everything confirmed we will have a solid price
A recent build from Ohlins using new spare parts for the Paul Smart Forks came in at $3400. They no longer have any spare parts left to build these forks anymore. So we got the last of what was left in USA and in Sweden for the FG322 forks from Ohlins
If you were to purchase the FG322 Paul Smart Forks from Ducati, it is still available and the list price is over $2400 per fork leg, yes for one FORK LEG!!
BTW
The Ohlins forks we are producing would have the TiNitride Coating on the tubes which is a nice upgrade from the stock Paul Smart Ohlins.
Plus it will be a finer quality fork with better internals compared to the Stock FG322 Ducati Ohlins Paul Smart Forks
