Cost of GT to sport clip ons?

For the people that have done the oem clip on conversion for GT1K's, what is the average cost for parts? Pair of clip ons with risers, and top triple clamp. Any other misc parts needed?

parts from the factory could get a tad on the expensive side. new sport1000 clips-ons will run you about 300 (risers & bars) then a top yoke from the factory is about 300 also. they come up on Ebay not everyday but often. i just picked up a top yoke for 200 and have seen the clip-ons go for lowest a 100 buck for the pair. but you gotta play the waiting game.

master and clutch cylinders should just switch right over. you'll have those "coffin" reservoirs but you can also pick up oem or aftermarket to get some round ones. they can be as cheap or as expensive as you want. plus check the steering stops, they might have to be adjusted as well.

then lastly, the brake lines will be too short i think. you might need to get some new ones. beauty about this is you get to pick the color's of you go for Speilger lines which could be roughly about 1-150.

did the same thing on mine. except i got a LSL tourmatch clip on kit. everything included. one low price but i warn you, you'll wait 2 + months for it..

LeeC started a thread using Rizoma risers and handlebar. Nothing else was needed other than machining the top triple.

Oops, my bad. I'd be surprised if cables/hoses are longer for clipons.

You don't need a new top clamp. If you don't mind looking at the mounts. And I'm sure there is someone on here with the bars you need. Also, you don't need to buy ducati brand. Plenty others out there with more slick options.

All you need are the clip ons. Everything else transposes right over.
Cable and brake lines will need to be repositioned and tucked a bit but you don't need to change a thing.
I've left my risers on to make a GPS mount for my Colorado, problem is, I've misplaced the caps....

Sent thundering through my Termis!

DP bar end mirrors

You will also need a pair of bar end mirrors to complete the look. I have a set of DP mirrors for sale. PM me if you are interested.
