Sport 1000 s / Paul Smart Side Fairings Needed for Replication

To all enthusiasts,

If you, or someone you know, owns a Ducati Sport 1000 s or Paul Smart Edition Sport Classic and they have a set of Side Fairings like these (any color works):



Please have them contact me. I am trying to produce these in both ABS and Carbon Fiber for resale. I would need use of the fairings for 3D scan and fabrication reference. They would not be damaged by any part of the process. I would also need all necessary hardware for mounting the side fairings (will be duplicated by machinist) which would also be returned.

What you get by assisting me in this project:

-$1000 deposit via Paypal to any Verified account of the Fairing Owner
-(1) set of ABS Fairings or (1) set of Carbon Fiber Fairings (at my cost)
-complete disclosure of vendor/fabrication source
-a signed agreement giving my written authorization for use of your fairings and a guarantee that your fairings will be returned in as-sent condition or you keep the deposit.

Please help me to make this happen.

Thank you, yes, I'm thinking safety wise it might be better to get them from someone in the US, and preferably West Coast, but either works. I am thinking Fedex Overnight to avoid any trouble during shipping.

I am brand new to the Forums and came across your post.

I have just purchased (one week ago) a 2007 Sport 1000S with full fairings. The bike is absolutely mint! Only 752 km's.

I have to say I am quite interested in your proposition.

I live in Toronto, Canada and the bike is being stored for the next 2.5 months. Perhaps just enough time to get the fairings down to you to have them replicated and then back in time for the season?

I also looked through your photos and have to say what you have done to your 1000s is spectacular! Absolutely love the mat black fairings you have done.

I would be very interested in a set with a similar treatment.

Thank you, no worries, I have fairings now. Pricing is the challenge now. Just trying to get the pair to be affordable for everyone.
