Bling Diddy Bling Goop !!

Ok...over the years I have used every wax & polish in existance..eveything from Mothers , Turtle Wax, Armour All, Martian Space Warp Gluten, Seal Pup Fat...you name it..each doing a good job of shine and protect but each claiming better than the other....

One day whilst at vancouver BMW Ducati...I witnessed a couple or 3 dudes wrasslin over the last 2 cans of what they were calling "new bike in a can" ....parts guy pipes up like Vince the lazy-eyed schill of sham-wow fame shouts "more cases on order" "they are sellin like hot cakes"....I'm thinkin' ...here we go again ...more snake oil ! Particularly at $22+ some odd per can !

I had a look at it and 1 guy ...who seemed not a dupe...stated that the stuff produces a shine like no other he has used in 30 years and protects his BMW dual sport from mud and crud so well he cant believe it ...so I line up with the other rubes and order a can

A few weeks later it shows up and I havva read of the can...some kinda silicone based formula..I give my SC tank a spray and holy freakin moly ! I have never seen nothin like it...so I proptly do the rest of the bike including some of my copious shiny alum parts and WOW !

I went for a 300mile burn thru the dusty mountains ...next day..wiped it off its still bling city and furthermore where I crush the tank with my legs & fat gut I usually have little scratches in the wax and by the end of the season minor scratches...not now !

Not only that but when I pulled up to my buddy's shop him and a few other asked if I had re-painted my ride ...as you can imagine I am super OCD and my bike is always buffed up ....and they saw me only a few days before....so what does that tell you ?? I had a mometary urge to plug in a glass eye, get a wireless mike, jump up on a box and start floggin them at $20 a can ! But then I remembered where that got Vince .....

Model: ShamWow Guy Wanted Me As "Love Slave" | The Smoking Gun

The stuff is called SC1 Clear Coat ......I highly recommend it ! BUT not at over $22 per can...I found it online .....

Maxima SC1 Silicone Detailer - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore

for $8 per can. Step right up !!

Stephano

Thanks for the tip. Ill try it. Sound like honda polish. Anyone ever use that? Spray on anything, wait 30sec for it to turn white, then buff. Cleans too.

Nice tip. I had a walk around John Valk's Ducati & BMW store when we took a holiday in Vancouver during the summer of 2005. I hope to return some day & would like to rent a bike to ride up to Whistler. I have family in Ontario & have always enjoyed trips to Canada - a great country with super people.

I've found this Maxima SC1 product available (online) from motocross shops in the UK so I might try some. I cleaned my bike using Hein Gericke's own gel cleaner after a ride yesterday. We had a hard frost on Friday night & the local roads have been salted so after cleaning the bike I also coated it with ACF-50 to protect against the dreaded salt. Ambient was around 38 F yesterday so I wimped out & used my trust Gerbing heated inner jacket & gloves. Ahhh, warm digits!

Hey Stephano! I found an onlineshop here in germany that sells this stuff!Ordered 3 cans, since I like my bike to be clean and shiny all the time. See how I trust you... ;-)

Sounds great! Liable or not! If it doesn't work I'lla come over and you will have to exchange the two unopened bottles for beer!!
I'll try it out as soon as my seat is back... ;-)

Count me in for some Bling-O-Matic super-polish.

I'll get googling to find some in the UK.

Meanwhile, my new tip is the new hardcore cleaner, SDoc100... It really is spray on and wash off, and very little wiping required (if any).

I used to use Muc Off, but this SDoc100 stuff makes that looks like a bar of old dirty soap in comparison. Fook knows what they put in it.
