Interest in Group Buy - NCR Hailwood rear seat cowl &/or SC side fairings for 1000s - Ducati.ms

I've been going back and fourth with another member here and we are both interested in buying or possibly fabricating the NCR Hailwood rear seat cowl. I've spoken to NCR and their estimation of cost for producing one would be about $600-$800 in carbon fiber. I have a friend who works with Carbon Fiber and I am a designer by trade, so I was considering producing them myself. Here's what the cowl looks like on the Hailwood:

Also if someone is willing, in conjunction with the cowl, I would like to borrow a set of Sport Classic fairings for reproduction in Carbon Fiber:

Can anyone consider lending their set

(I would need them for about two weeks and could secure the favor with a refundable deposit via Paypal)?

I would be willing to go further with exploring all of this if I knew I had at least five people including myself on board. Once design was completed and production was secured, I would need a financial commitment via Paypal.

To be clear, I am proposing production of two items:

1. NCR Mike Hailwood Edition Rear Seat Cowl in Carbon Fiber
2. Sport 1000s / Paul Smart Side Fairings in Carbon Fiber

All color matched paint would be a separate expense, but I have a source for Ducati code painting as well.

Is this a package deal or can get the fairings separately?

I'm down for the side panels. What's the cost?

1. No, this doesn't have to be a package deal. The Fairings would be sold separately once fabricated. I'm not sure of the cost right now, but I will production in ABS as well.

Cost to be determined right now. I have to do more research. There will be two prices for each of the two items, one in carbon fiber and one in ABS.

I might be interested in the side panels.. depending on price.

It would be a shame to put the custom paint on a stock plastic tank and then have it deform...

I have sent out a number of emails to a few friends and manufacturers, I'll update this thread when I have concrete numbers and information. I understand it comes down to CO$T, so I'll try to fast-track numbers in ABS first and for those who want carbon, information will follow.

If anyone is going down the Hailwood path, I just made a few stickers for my bike, and I have a few extras.
These are the Champion and Regina stickers. I might make some others later,
