Paint code.

My honourable friend, Mr Dutch has informed me that there is such a thing as manufacturer's 'paint codes'. Does anyone on here know what it is for the original, '06, grey(ish) colour of my GT? I'm about to get my new Diopa seat unit sprayed up to match the rest of the bike and want to get it as close as possible.

cheers all.

There are codes for the paint, but these are no reference for buying paint!

Ducati keeps it as a secret…

For the grayish colour you need a reference part and get the paint mixed according to it…

So did Mojoduc for his SC paint job…

I am assuming that the '06 Gray paint code is the same as the '07 code. The paint code for the '07 Gray is:
Paint Mfg: PPG
Description: Grigio Verde
Paint/Brand Code: DUC *0043

A correct match for my Duc.

Are you selling your GT fender then?! ;-)

Guido

PS: WHat pool agent said is right! The code doesn't say anything. People in the paint shop couldn't use the code. You'll have them to match it to your color.Otherwise it won't match!!!

We don't have the tan color but if you would be interested in sending us a part, we'll match it and return it undamaged. We'll set you up with a very good deal on the paint as well, if you're interested.

There's not much info out there, but being where you are, you might try RS Paint. They are just outside London and can ship to you. Tell them ColorRite sent you!

Now that you mention it, I'm sure he is. I was wondering what tan he meant exactly and didn't even think of the cream color!

So yes, the color is available at our site Motorcycle Paint - ColorRite. Part number 7615 as mentioned above.
