Wow...
That's serious coin for a used set of forks.
If these are factory parts any idea of the new cost or if they are even available?

dont think you can get them new anymore.. i've been staring these down for days ever since they came up for auction. you'd think he'd get more response if he started the auction at say .99cents.. or even 1750? but 2500? right off the bat? geez... c'mon.. rare but really...
description reads - lowers have pits in them but not low enough to hit? or something like that. what are pits?

Probably where some rust/corrosion or maybe a rock chip has scored the surface of the exposed part of the inner sleeve. If the seals contacted them they would leak.

Thats really overpriced for used Ohlins...I have just a little over that in my 1098r ohlins, custom triple, monoblock brakes and rotors...
I ll look tomorrow at availability for anyone who REALLY wants them, but I doubt the new ones are much more than that at full boat retail. The other thing I have noticed is Ducati is discontinuing lots of parts for the DS engines and other odds and end for the SC, MH and older monsters and the prices are STUPID cheap!

Brand new from Ducati
over $2400 per leg... yes this is not a typo
Ohlins USA dos not and will not produce this fork anymore. Believe me I have been begging them for two years.
They did produce one set from left over discontinued parts. The cost for this was over $3000. One lucky customer ehe?
I am looking into Bitubo producing a adjustable fork but I do not know if anyone would be interested in the brand.
and
I am looking into a work around at Ohlins to produce a fork and discssing this with a race suspension tech
if this means a kit that comes with a specially machined stock Top clamp
or some other work around time will tell.
for now it is Catridge kits on the showa forks and Anodizing the top tubes Ohlins Gold, or finding a used S2 or S4 fork and reworking it a bit

OH, I see...they are still proud of those, huh!? hahaha
I just had a super clean 998 in my shop with a light hit that damaged the forks...The Showas...Ducati wanted 2100.00 each for them and Progressive totalled the bike as a result!
But then...there I go trying to understand Ducati pricing...
