Tank Bag Alternatives
I'm planning on a trip and am thinking about a tank bag. Are there good alternatives to the Ducati setup? I'm not real keen on putting a cover over the tank for the bag to clip onto, but would like to hear what others have used. Plus the Duc tank bag is a bit pricey.

I like Marsee products and use one on the Sport 1000. It's plenty big, keeps wind off the chest and is tall enough to rest on while on highways. The only drawback is no small external pockets on the sides. I haven't figured out how to attach a picture to a reply on this forum yet.

Thanks guys, especially for the tank bag thread link. It's very hard to find with the search function because tank spreading issues always come up (had mine coated

I use a Kriega tang bag converter, works great with both the US10 and US20 or both together as I do for touring. You can then leave the 20 in your hotel and keep the 10 on the day trip!
Not a great pic attached, but I can't find on with the US20 on!

I put down a deposit on my GT1000 before they were even available. Never saw one in person until I took delivery more than a year later. I loved the bike immediately, but was disappointed that I couldn't use my favorite magnetic tank bag.

My buddy has a Nelson Rigg bag that attaches to the plastic tank on his Speed Triple w/suction cups. He's only had it a short while, but is pleased w/it so far. Has anyone here tried one?
