Rearsets Fitting Help - Monoposto on Biposto
I found these aftermarket rearsets on ebay...
NEW Ducati "Rear-Set" style Adjustable Footpegs - BLACK | eBay
...which seem to be a direct replacement fit for a Monoposto Sport Classic. I want to fit them on my biposto - so I can also get some alternative exhaust hangers (Mack?), and lose the "ugly black triangles".
I can see I also need heel plates, but can anyone please tell me what else I need in terms of the brake lever and linkages to make this work on my Biposto?
I think I need a bracket for my brake M/C also... which I'm told could come from any SuperSport from 99 to 07?
Thanks.
Alternatifvely theres also this kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-600...item3f0d239eb7 which may have all I need?
This one looks like it even has the M/C bracket in the right place?

Rearsets
Dutch,
Beware, I think you'll find that the product from Avanti is only the pegs, not the brackets as well. Ask Dietrich about those pegs; if I'm not mistaken, he's running a set and could let you know about life with them. Beyond that, I have no useful advice for you about the second item you posted.

Hmmm. You could be right. I thought they were a bit too cheap to be true. I think I prefer the other set anyway, as they appear more complete, and I spent about 30 mins on the phone to the guy who makes them, who really helped research whether they'd fit. He'll also take a full refund if they don't.

The stuff you need to make it work
The left side is the most expensive for obvious reasons
and the Right side you would also need the brake pedal assembly and bracket
You could find it all on ebay for cheap but with risks
or
spend a little more save alot of time and get the Sato Type II that has it all ready to go.

Thanks for these diagrams JC. They really help.
As you know, I'd love to get all the gear from you, brand new (the quality is obvious), but I'm just investigating the cheaper ebay/used options first. - and I'm not just being cheap, I'm also trying to preserve the simple, old-school, cafe-racer look, so I'm not looking for lightweight drilled, billet, adjustable, high-end, race rearsets, just simple, functional, and fit for purpose is fine.
I rather like the basic monoposto/Paul Smart design, so used OEM would be perfect - if only I can find any!!!

I'd prefer local stuff from Ducabike… Ducabike official site vendita on line, e commerce, prodotti e accessori extra mercato per moto ducati, frizione, ergal, antisaltellamento, desmo, carbonio, titanio, pedane, telaio
Fairly priced and good quality… available in lots of combinations
Transmission rods are easily adapted

I think if you broaden your ebay search you might find what you are after-the rearsets from an 02 supersport will fit-you need to get the brake pedal/slave cylinder mount, spring, bolts etc plus the pedal with any set you decide to go with-you might find the sato set from JC is not that much more expensive than all the bits you need to buy separately

Cheers dude. I'm still searching.
The problem with the Sato set is that I don't like the design. It's much too modern for such a retro bike, and I don't want to make a "feature" of my foot controls. Quality? Yes, but billet-bling? No.
It's different if you have a modern take on modding the SC1000, with gold Ohlins, cast wheels and Zards, but I'm going more 1970s retro (ish)
