Alu vs SS Termignoni exhaust

perhaps this was asked here before. I couldn't find anything. I just found out that I can get Aluminum or Stainless Steel Termignoni exhaust for the Sport 1000 S. here in Germany, the Aluminum don't have the TÜV (non street legal). Can someone please tell me what other differences there are and which are preffered?

thank you

you are a funny man! no I am not part of a band. I am originally from Toronto, working for a company in Germany and I travel to Vienna (Austria) and Barcelona (Spain) on a regular basis. I hope this explains your curiosity

now back to the topic, I did call Guido but he couldn't answer my questions. There was another reason Guido posted his phone number.

now that I was so keen on answering your questions, perhaps you can answer mine?

As the Alu cans you mention are non street legal, this is because they are too loud to pass the street decibel limit.

I'm not 100% sure no Mike, but I can't think why else they wouldn't be street legal.
Can you think af any valid reason why they wouldn't be street legal other than the emmited decibel factor ?
