Ducati Warranty Question..Dealer have to perform checks?

I need to read my warranty...but I'm at the office.

Does a Ducati Dealer have to perform your 600 mile check to keep your warranty Valid??

Can a Ducati Certified mechanic at a none Ducati perform the work instead of a dealer?

How long is the mechanics certification good for?

My reason for asking is:

My not so local dealer (60miles) couldn't come with my new cans, and sprocket w/ a two week lead time for the 600 mile check. Which was to be performed all day today - with me taking a day off from work.. The parts might have come in except they waited 6 days (4 working) to order the (parts because of some $$ minimum Ducati order requirement?? I was so looking forward to my new cans and sprocket. Did I mention I paid for everything at time of order. Man, did they F me up.

yes they did F#### you up...no way it should have gone that way...I would creatively speak my mind in a non violent but assertive, articulate matter and put them in their place where the sun dont shine...

A local dealer near me does the same thing. I've gotten to where I find the parts elsewhere and have them shipped to me in 3-5 days instead of waiting up to three seeks to get them through my local dealer. ProItalia has been great for having stuff that I need in their inventory.....even disontinued parts for my 1987 Paso!
