Billet Triple Tree / Triple Clamp for Sport Classic

JC and Lee,

Here are some better pics of the triple tree before I install it on the mono.
This is the pre-production version.

A quick run down on the specs are;

1. Same weight as OEM unit, although much stiffer and stronger
2. Fits all sport classic series, GT, Paul Smart, Sport 1000/S.
3. Retains the original top clamp/tree
4. Includes tapered needle roller bearings top and bottom. These are a vast improvement on the standard roller bearings.
5. Includes Stainless Steel pinch bolts and steering stops.
6. It braces the fork slightly lower down the leg and with greater contact surface area. This means less fork flex, better feed back, and more precise handling. Based on Superbike Ducatis.
7. Steering stem is hard anodised to prevent binding of the thread and wear from the bearings.
8. The ohlins fork shown in the pic is actually off an S4RS Monster. It has the same dimensions as the Paul Smart fork (just a different radial bottom) at 50mm/54mm.

I will post again after the install,

Steve

Finally had a minute (or two) to fit the triple tree. It fits perfectly which is a mild relief after all the work!

These pictures give you an idea of the difference between OEM and the new triple tree
