I restuck mine with some glue (don't remember what kind), but some of the shiny layer has peeled off. So far, though, no problems overheating either the panniers or the contents. Nonetheless, the furnace tape idea sounds like an inexpensive way to solve the problem - I'm off to Lowe's to get some. Thanks, jneglia.
