Will 916 clutch side engine case fit 900ss?

Hey guys and gals. I need to replace my right side engine case (clutch side), and was wondering if a 916 part will fit. They look identical, but I don't trust my eyes (especially when I'm just looking at a picture) to be the accurate judge of that. Thanks in advance!

I can't say for certain, but I'm almost sure it will fit. Count the number of retaining screws - if the number of screws matches, the shape definately will.

You need to accurately measure many many things. Like cylinder stud spacing, bore diameter, sleeve depth, bearing journals, the list goes on....

It would probly be easier to source the correct part.

case cover [the part that covers the primary gears, oil pump etc]...yes. it even fits on a 750SS [I'm running one right now]

engine case, no. besides, you never mis-match engine cases. you must use a factory matched set.
