Sounds great at idle, wasn't super impressed with the revving noise though... Maybe a less-than-stock muffler with help that.

Yes, I think (as always) that an aftermarket exhaust will vastly improve the sound.

You'd really miss the dry clutch? I didn't abuse my '99 SS and the original was done at 22k - not enough life to satisfy me. Give me a good wet clutch any day.

Looks like a nice bike to ride. But, IMO, it's not a Supersport. I'll be keeping my SS1000DS.Sorry.

Hey, Bruce, I respect your opinion, but I'd like to know why you say "it's not a Supersport"? After my fifteen years on a 900 SS, from track days to (relatively) long trips on that bike I think I know what a Ducati Supersport is, or at least my perception of that model. From the photos to specs to seeing the new SS in person at the recent IMS show it appears to me Ducati nailed it - a modern-day version of the bike I loved. Where do you think it falls short?

^^^^^^^ too busy. more like an MV than a Duc SS.

Too much like a Panigale. Less is more.

When in doubt, lean more...

I like it. It sounds as if Ducati kept the same basic premise while updating the platform. I think that if you tried to make it a simpler bike without the updates the press would beat it to death. One of the main things for me is the sporting bike with a bit more relaxed riding position.
