Help Please I hate the spring loaded kickstand on my 93 750ss
I have had enough of the spring loaded kickstand on my 93 750ss. Love the bike but just don't trust the kickstand. I commute on it regularly and use a trackstand in the garage. Any advice or replacement ideas? Is there a center stand available for these bikes? Maybe a larger no spring loaded kickstand? I am sure somebody here can help.
thanks,
John

i replaced the sidestand bolt on my 96 900ss with one from ferracci that does away with the auto-retracting. you may be able to grind away part of the oem bolt, too, to disable that "feature".

Yeah you will want to get one of those aftermarket bolts. I hated mine at first too but now I love it... to each his own i suppose. DO NOT THROW the stock one away. Should you EVER change your mind and want to go back, those OEM bolts are about $30-40 a pop.

Some people will tell you that slow is good -- and it may be, on some days -- but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba....
