Rear Turn Signal Install

Just got my FE and the OEM turnsignals were removed. Can't figure out how they attach to the rear mudguard. The signals had a small metal bracket attached which does nto seem to match to anthing on the bike. When removed, the bolt on the signal is not long enuf to reach through the mudguard. Am I missing something? I'll post a pic of the bracket and signal.

Thanks,

doc

rear turn signal install

I removed the OEM when I scored a carbon fiber tail piece and didn't fell like drilling holes in it.
I bought some LED blinkers and found some room in the tail light to install them.
I live in Lakewood if you want to see the result,it cleans the rear end pretty nicely and you keep the turn signal function.
