Question Replacing Pressure plate question- HELP!

Okay guys, what is the safest/easiest way to get the shaft out from the bearing in the pressure plate?

Just keep trying. Mine was held in there via clutch dust. I think I may have grabbed the shaft in a vice between a couple of blocks of wood, and then tap on an open end wrench up against the bearing. Almost like a gentle slide-hammer.

A bigger hammer!

Kidding... Sort of!

It can be a real PITA, even after you've had it out before and thought you were going to make things easier for the next time by adding some grease to the shaft!

Last time I sprayed some WD40 on it. Then I drilled a hole in a 2X4. Next, I fed the shaft through the hole and the used it like a slide hammer. I kept whacking the inside of the plate against the wood using the shaft to pull it. Eventually, after a beer or two, it came apart. Not sure if I am making any sense, but that's what I did. Good luck!
