Hi VTGPDUC,
Send me a PM when you know what you're thinking about price. I've been looking at picking up an SS myself, either before or after I sell my 872 (also a BCM bike )..
Thanks

If it is really as mint as you say it is, I would say you might be lucky to get $5k-$5,500 for it. Realistically though, you might be looking at b/w $4,500-$5,000 for it due to the mileage.

Due to the mileage? 10,500 miles on a 12 year old bike. That's only 875 miles/year. If it had much less than that I would start to worry it hadn't been ridden ENOUGH to keep it fresh.

I was thinking the same thing..
I put that mileage on in a year of weekends and we only get 5 months of riding weather.
I hope you get high five thous for it, but it seems the US-EBay market will only pay low fours... anything higher doesn't seem to sell.
Good luck! I hope you get what you expect.

I agree with you, but neither of you argued with my value I placed on it.
My idea with the mileage, (and yes 10,500 is not that much mileage on an old bike like the SP), is that buyers want a lot lower mileage than that for the price I was talking about, but if it is as clean as his is then he should be able to fetch that much for it.

Not all the mid 90's SS bikes were garage queens. The majority I have seen for sale fall into the 10,000 to 18,000 mileage range. I looked for 2 years before buying my '92 with 16,000 miles on it. Sure, there are a few you will find with something like 4,000 total miles, but IMO this does not boost their valve an extra 30+%. Machines need to be exercised and ridden regularly.
I think a very clean, tastely modified SS as you described should bring around $5000-5500. A lot also depends upon seller location and time of year. Unless you really need the cash now, don't be hasty to sell. The right person will come along and give fair valve for it.
Good Luck, Ed.

I think that Glockem is probably about right with the price. $5000 seems like a fair deal for all parties.

Some people will tell you that slow is good -- and it may be, on some days -- but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba....

I know the miles are low, but I have other bikes that need my attention also.
Btw bike has a Regina Chain(GP) not DID. That and the decals should be worth another $20 bucks.
