I use the Icon Urban tank bag.
Stays out of the way pretty well, doesn't mar the tank, and holds a lot.
And lots of colors.

I have a great Hein-Gericke magnetic tank bag. It's expandable to be huge inside, and is out of the way most of the time...

I guess it depends what going to do with it. Commuting - just to hold lunch, touring - stuff for a weekend, or grocery shopping - how am I going to get this case of beer home?
I prefer them over saddle bags and back packs, but they can sometimes limit instrument visibility, especially the expandable top ones. The Eclipse bags seem to have zippers that fail after a few years. A Nelson Riggs bag had the clear map cover disintegrate after a couple of years of sun exposure. I prefer the bags that strap in place rather than magnetic.

I use Luggage Locker and recommend them to everyone! Never worry about them coming loose at speed and the craftsmanship is TOP notch.

I bought a Cortech Tribag:
http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/prod...tid=145&cat=31
I usually only use the smaller bag, although I have used the larger one for some light touring. The whole thing together is huge. The big bag hides the bottom of my Speedo, so the whole thing would cover everything. I have the magnetic version and it's not going anywhere.

+1 Used the Tribag on my pre-99 SS/SP's for years everywhere from local to cross country. Excellent product.
