750 SS idle problems
Just bought a 2000 750SS, has some engine work done to it, 795 kit, cams, high comp pistons, rods, etc. Fired it up and rode around a bit yesterday, and it won't hold an idle anything below 2000 rpms. Seems like it gets no spark down there, maybe electrical? I noticed a flickering neutral light, however I'm thinking it's probably the switch. Also, I do have to twist the throttle to get it to start. Everywhere else in the rev range it runs fantastic, at all throttle positions. I've checked the basic stuff like choke cable and throttle cable. Any suggestions? I have a workshop manual, and the throttle body adjustments seem a bit complicated for the likes of me, mathesis tester and what not.

Was the ECU remapped when the engine was modified?

I want to say yes, but I think it was mapped for race gas. Would this have an effect on the idle?

Sounds like it may be the fuel mapping. How does it feel above 2k rpm's, mainly from 2k to 3500 rpm's? Soft of crisp. Does it have a PC on it?
Is the bike pinging when you gun it? Curious about the ignition map.
As far as the neutral light is concerned, welcome to Ducati.
Just want to cover all basis' here.

pretty crisp everywhere else, I'm not noticing any pinging or knocks. The PO said the bike was idling fine when he had it, I think my next step is the PC, as I'm not too sure about the map on the bike.
