Stupid Car Alarms

I live in the city and and started commuting on my old 900ss and now I have to stop before the neighbors lynch me. The side streets I park on and drive down are barely wide enough for two cars. Consequently when I drive down them that sweet thumping motor sets off half the car alarms.

Back to commuting on the old 4 cylinder zook.

Same happens to me. I have DP mufflers and they set off alarms all the time.

I love it.

Stupid car alarms are worthless annoying noise makers. Screw um.

Im on 0600 - 14:30 at the mo, means I have to leave at 5:15am to get to work in good time... we have just moved house and I no longer have a nice slope to roll down away from the house allowing my Doocat to further warm before I click it into gear?

Im guessing my new neighbours will not appreciate a 5am dawn chorus of 2v racepipes like I would.

when I do not want to set off alarms I keep it just above a lug in a higher gear and all is quiet, but can still stand on it when I want to leave a calling card that I was there :-)

Annoying isn't it? I find that swinging around and going back normally gets the ones you missed first time through.

This happens all the time in the parking lot at work. I've experimented and found that its a resonance relative to gear and rpm. When leaving home just use first gear at about 8000 rpm and it won't set the alarms off. Really! Try it.

It's not your fault the idiots have their alarms set too sensitive, keep riding maybe they'll get the sensitivity adjusted.

I work nights, get off work at 12:30am. There's one POS Nissan close to home that belongs to the neighbor's kid with a very sensitive alarm. I purposely ride as close to it as I can to set off his alarm. Like anyone would want to steal the thing. The thing is mostly in primer, one wheel that doesn't match the other three and it leaks oil on the street. But it has an alarm.
