Talking Carb tuning

Does Anyone in Michigan area have their carbs tuned well on a 900 ? Just bought a Factory Pro kit with emulsion tubes. I am looking for base parameters in my geographic area, altitude, etc. I am taking bike to Florida next month and would like to get it in the ballpark before I go.

I just finished tuning a dynojet stage 2 kit onto mine, I just get a bit of popping at idle that I can't get rid of no matter how lean or rich I set it. I guess the only thing I can help with is saying that turning the pilot screws outwards leans out the mixture and turning them in richens it, I don't know the stock setting but dynojet recommends 4 turns out, and on the dyno that gave about a 12:1 air:fuel ratio when 14.7:1 is more ideal. I've never messed with emulsion tubes just the pilot screws, needles, main jets, and springs. Good luck and keep us updated

Forgot to say I'm running gutted stock cans and a K&N with no lid. Appears to have ported intakes. I have ported the intake manifolds but have not installed them yet. Only ignition upgrade is better quality plug wires with non resistor caps. Anybody running a similar setup I'd like to know float ht., jet sizes, needle position, air screw setting.

I can only give reference on the air screw setting as I am putting off the full carb rebuild but a baseline of 3.5 turns out from seated is a good starting point. I am running Staintune High Mount Pipes and have the air screws at 3.75 turns out. Idle is slightly rich but I am deathly afraid of lean due to past mishaps...

I have heard the benchmark for float hight is about 14mm. For reference I live in the Detroit area.

Float ht. 14mm is where I was going to start. 40 primary jet. 140 main jet. air screw 3 turns out. Needle in middle notch. If anyone thinks I,m not on the right track, let me know.
