Electrical issue with tach and/or headlight

Been lurking in here for a bit, finally joined just in time to ask questions. Well I just got everything back together after fixing the leaking gas tank to find out that I had two oil filter gaskets...but anyway that's fixed and not the point. The bike ('06 800SS) has been sitting for about two months, mostly due to weather. But I got everything in order with it and noticed that my tach is pointed the wrong way. It sits below the high end of the scale when off and about 9 or 10K at idle. Also my headlight isn't working. Honestly I haven't checked to see if the headlight is just blown or not. The bike did fall over one day when we were having like 60 mph winds. It just seemed odd they they would both happen at the same time. Any ideas where I should start...besides just checking the bulb? It's raining.

It's been grumpier about starting too. It keeps stalling. It seems fine once it's warm but it didn't do that when I was riding it all the time. That could just be because it's been sitting.

Looks to me like a bare ground. I'm assuming it went to ground and burnt through the connector. Is this safe to use or would it be better to not take the chance? Nearest Ducati shop is about 3 hours away.

I had a similar issue to that with the plug on the back of my headlight.

Managed to get a replacement from a general bike repair shop (it's a pretty universal part). Is that an option for you?

I should be able to handle that. It only makes sense since the 9004 bulb is not specific to ducati...

Does anybody have or can pint me twards a a wiring diagram fr the tach? I know where the signal starts no my honda cage but not a clue on the duc.

my electrical problems were all due to poor connections (needed cleaning/tightening) and fuses.
