Slightly odd question

Apologies if this has been answered elswhere but I haven't found anything myself yet.

Does anyone know of or has successfully fitted a pre 98 tank and body work to a 900ss ie Terblanche?

I really like the older styling and think it would make for a strange and interesting project.

From the book "The Ducati Story", by Ian Falloon, the frames were a "carry-over", but the Terblanche design had a one degree steeper head angle, and a different rear section. From the pictures, the frames do look similar from what you can see, at least from the rearsets forward. Still, how that affects the mounting points for the pre-'98 tank and bodywork is a mystery, but I'd guess it would take some serious tweaking.

they will change over, the tanks run the same bottom section to each other, one just has the rubber hold down and the other the clamp, easy enough to make a bracket for either one, im looking at fitting an IE one to my 95 frame so going opposite to your idea haha

Sounds kinda like a fun job. I think it would look good. You could make some brackets extension if things did not line up.
