I've owned all kinds of bikes, from Harleys to RC51's and R1's and my last bike was a BMW R1200R. I've always loved the looks of the Super Sports and I'm really excited about owning one.
The 04 looks to be in really great shape, it's yellow and all stock with 20,000 miles on it. The 2000 I need to take a really good look at, it's been repainted, it's grey with red wheels and really low miles for a 2000 (roughly 6000).
Is there anything in particular I should check for when looking at these bikes?
Thanks

Unfortunately you'll need to keep looking mate. Both these bikes are the wrong colour. Everyone knows that real Ducati's are red!
If you're not put off by these fake Ducati's, I would steer clear of the 900 as anything re-sprayed should put up a big red "crash damaged" warning flag.
The 1000 is a more refined bike with more power and better stock suspension. What you need to look for apart from all the obvious things is a clearly documented service history. When were the belts and valves last checked/changed/adjusted, oil and filter changes done regularly, has it been used as a track bike, how many owners has it had, is the current owner a dickhead etc...
Search the forums here for more detailed info on anything in particular and good luck!
