'93 900ss choke issue

My coke does not stay open when I start my bike. I can't see anything broken. Its a if a spring on the rod is missing because it just shoots back closed.

So did everyone convert to fuel injection or what? Sarcasm intended.

I fitted FCR41s. So no choke for me.

Just checked the junk pile and the choke is spring loaded at the carbies. The lever assembly (that is mounted to the clutch master cylinder) has plastic bumps moulded into it that should hold it in position so they could be worn down.

But I broke a bit off that assembly when I removed it - bumps are still all there and did used to hold mine with the choke open.

He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a pebble and rolling an ankle.

My choke does not stay open by itself ('93 900ss with stock carbs). I have come accustomed to just adjusting it by hand as I warm the bike up. Never bothered to research/fix it. I always just thought that was kinda how they worked.

Mine used to hold in place, until I also went to FCR's.

Now it's three squirts for a cold morning and one on other days.
