Pulled the trigger
Ok guys, I bought one today....
Ducati : Supersport Ducati : Supersport | eBay
I went into the stop and offered a couple hundred less than the start bid.
I know its a little high but it does have the Ducati Remus exhausts and the MARCHESINI wheels. Has just over 8000 miles. The bonus I hope; is the previous owner was a mechanic at the shop that left to go and be a mechanic at a Ducati dealership, Speeds.
So I was told that all maintenance was done, and done right......
The shop is an hour and half away and they needed to have the state inspector sign off on it. so they are going to deliver it to my door
I will post some pictures when I get it.

Forgot. When the second gen 900ss came out I thought it was an ugly bike, but now I think it is quite beautiful.
I still would like to take her down naked and add a cafe seat and large round headlight. Trick it to do it so the bike could be put back to its original specs. So I guess no cutting the rear frame....
You just can't beat the price to have Ducati ownership

the wheels are stock from 2001 up, looks like a very nice bike to me.
I strongly suggest to keep the bike as is, and look out for a damaged
one if you want to build something naked.
all the best.

Nice! I agree they are beautiful. And, what you paid is definitely not too much if it is the bike you want - these things seem to be getting pretty rare. The 1000 especially, but even 900ies in good shape with original paint are getting hard to come by.
I echo the previous comment - don't mutilate it to make something stripped down!

You just bought a helluva nice bike. The kind of bike you can keep for a lifetime. Congrats. Too bad Ducati (and the motorcycling world in general) does not see the value in the Supersport concept. In the world of motorcycling there are the Ducatisti and in the Ducatisti there are the Cognoscenti....that is the Supersport afficionados.
