750SS half fairing connects to... what?

Hi,

I just bought a 1993 750SS few days ago.

As there was some kind of an unidentified half fairing... I was looking for a half fairing and was lucky to find a NOS one just few miles from me.

When I'm looking at the new one facing the frame, I see that there is nowhere to connect it to the frame... (the rear screw).

Can someone tell me where it should be connected to and maybe show it by pictures?

Thanks!

Lior.

My relatively new 750SS

The new fairing I just bought today... what I can't find is where do I connect the rear mounting....

The rear of the fairings bolt to some small stamped steel brackets that are bolted to the frame. If you feel around on the inside of the frame you should feel the threaded holes that the brackets bolt to. Your bike is apparently missing those brackets. I'd post a picture but my camera is not working. I've been watching those fairings on ebay for a while. You got a good deal on them.

Here you go - converted my full-fairing SS carby to half-fairings, there are two small z-shaped alloy brackets either side:

& yes - the inside nuts are a sh!t to get started... best use some sort of 10mm ratchet wrench?

Ok thanks, looks like I really don't have those... I'll make something tomorrow

Thanks for the pics!

I got those fairing for a fair price, they are NOS, got lucky...

The future plan for this bike is to cafe it but for now, I want it to look as good as it can

Lior.
