900 Headers onto 600?

Does anyone know if similar year headers from a 900ss will bolt straight onto the 600ss?

They are slightly longer due to the 900 having a longer stroke/cylinders, I reckon they would bolt-on and you could probably get them to meet OK at the crossover but they would hang lower under the bike and may not line up too well with the cans.

I believe the 750 headers are the same as the 600.

+1 I tried using 900ss headers on my 1992 750ss, and as exactly as stated they hung down way too low placing the position where the cans met up at the crossover in a less than ideal position. I tried to cut it up and reweld it to make it work better, but ended up scrapping the whole thing when a 2-1 750ss header popped up on e-bay.......
