SS Pipes

So I (may have) found a set of pipes for a '00-ish 900 SS i.e. The pipes alone should be interchangeable with any late model SS and will fit my 800, correct??

It comes with the ECU, but it's the old style Magnetti Marelli ECU (looks like a voltage regulator). I'd assume that's strictly for a 900 and no good to me...what would the ECU be worth on the black market?

The vertical header is the same part number, but the horizontal header and crossover is a different part number, which implies it is not correct.

900 parts diag and list attached. You can look at the 800 parts list via Ducati Omaha to cross check all p/n if you wish.

The Marelli 15M will not suit your bike. Even if you managed to rewire to suit input/output pins you would need to get it reflashed.

The 15M has value. You see them go for all sorts of prices, from reasonable to ridiculous.

I would be inclined to leave for a 900 owner who needs it.

Well wait - is it a full system or slip ons?

If its a full system I don't think it would fit. If they are just slip ons they will work.

Terminology !

To me pipes are the headers, crossover back to where the cans "slip on"

As per the "G" post, full system is unlikely to fit due to the different p/n I found. Even if it is a stock or performance system.

You have not advised what sort of cans they are.

Are they performance cans or stock cans?

If performance from Ducati, they should come with a remapped ECU to suit the 900SSie capacity and new cans.

When I bought my DP (Remus) cans they came with an ECU mapped to suit.
The ECU was had a DP sticker on it.

This then meant I had stock cans and stock ECU left over. Not much use unless someone has a need for either or both for a stock full system.

OK, sorry for any confusing terminology. They are mufflers only; not headders/full system. They come with the ECU for a late model (fuel injected) 900, which obviously I know is no use to me. Plan would be to purchase (because the price is good) and sell the ECU to a would be 900 owner if needed.

Unfortunately, I have since discovered the mufflers are not hi-mounts, thus I'm not interested. Thanks for the feedback though.
