How do I replace these O Rings
So I'm getting engine oil in my clutch fluid. I was told that the seals on the Clutch Control Rod are leaking causing the engine oil to get in there. I have the O rings in hand and was wondering if there's an easy way to get to them?
It's on my '99 750SSie w/ a wet clutch.

Drain the oil, remove the outer clutch cover, inner cover, springs, pressure plate and pull it out.
Easy as pie.
I believe you also have a problem with your slave cylinder seals also as oil should not get past those seals, you probably have both leaking in the vicinity of the counter shaft cover?

I was afraid i'd have to go at that rod from the clutch side , didn't wanna drain the oil.
That's a fear I have, and a probability. but if I'm replacing the seals in the slave @ $50, might as well spend $125 for an aftermarket piece that gives a lighter pull on the handle . But can't really afford the slave cylinder atm.

Ummm is it normal to pull the Clutch Control Rod out of the engine from the slave cylinder side??? 'cause ummm... I just did... thankfully I haven't dropped the oil, that is if it's ok to pull the rod out. Very easy I might add.

If I remember my past reading correctly (and that's not always a good bet), the reason for pulling the shaft out the clutch side is that there is a little bushing that, in some cases, can become stuck onto the clutch-end of the pushrod so that it couldn't be pulled through from the slave cylinder end without some manipulations and gyrations to free it up first.
If yours pulled through from the left side without a problem, there ya go.

I thought the same thing, that might just be for the dry clutches?
Even so, there is now way oil should be getting into the slave.
You can get one off ebay used for 40 or 50 bucks, or a new one for 129.

Or just contact moto for what ever color you need.

Yeah that's actually the one I have my eye on, though I can get it locally for the same price including tax. The problem is, talking the wife in to letting me get it. Especially since it appears that I also need a chain, and a D.I.D. chain goes for about $180.
I just need to keep the bike running safely 'till march. I leave for the mid east for 12 months and will be able to afford all the necessary quality parts for the Duc.
