Fork seals?
Any recommendations for a source for them? The forks are from a 1997 SS/SP (41mm adjustable Showas). The ones on ebay are cheap, but any good? Racetech sells them, but more expensive. Dan Kyle? Where do you get your fork seals?
TIA! Joe

I have the adjustable forks from a '97 SP on my '95 CR and when I'd buy the stock Ducati fork seals they would always wind up leaking about every two years or so.
I ended up going to my local Honda dealer and picked up the 41mm fork seals for a '94 to '97 VFR750.

Go Genuine or high quality aftermarket like Race Tech (Race Tech and most genuine seals are NOK brand, Ariete are good aftermarket). The cheap ones have way too much stiction, particularly those 'no leak' style ones. I've seen those cheapies take the coating of nitrided forks they have so much stiction!

How about O.E.M. Fork Seals they say OEM for $25 - $30 a pair. I've been thinking about giving mine a good service and have an order in for the AK-20 cartridge and spring kit. Seals and bushes will be next on the shopping list.
Just waiting for the USA to get to Monday and the start of the working week to get the shipping dollars.

He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a pebble and rolling an ankle.

I researched the topic extensively and ended up going Race Tech, they look better than OEM (they have a spring on the dust wiper).

Yep, they're good (also NOK brand) Max McAllister that owns Traxxion Dynamics is a fussy bugger and wouldn't sell any substandard parts.
Nearly all O.E.M, Traxxion, K-Tech, Ohlins, WP, Race Tech etc., all use fork oil seals made by NOK, even if they are repackaged. It's a very small part but not one that should be scrimped on as A) no-one like oil leaks and having to fix them and B) as stated previously, why spend good money on having your suspension sorted and then de-tuning your forks with overly 'grabby' cheap fork seals?

Traxxion
Thanks all for the thoughts. I'm going to order the N.O.K. seals from Traxxion Dynamics.
