2001 750Sport "Nekked" Build

This is the only section on here where i can find to put this. Picked this guy up for 1200. It runs but it needs some help. I'm getting naked with it though.

This is where the bike is at now. I need to tear the seat and rear plastic off (i'm going in a different direction). A new clutch cover and right side foot peg are on the way. I'm going with a single round light for the front and i need to find a way to clean up and tuck those gauges in as well. I have a bunch of parts on order. I'm trying to do a "budget build" so we'll see how it turns out.

I'm thinking of cutting the cluster apart and moving the temp gauge to the right side of the tach. That way i can pull them close to the bars.

you could do a monster front end. that would look pretty clean, and there are usually ample parts on ebay. i kind of want to do my bike naked, but I cant bring myself to do it!

I would have considered a monster front end if they didn't cost so damn much. I'm trying to make due with what i have. haha

I kinda dig the dark color scheme it has at the moment but who knows.

I've made a shit ton of progress. Lets get started.

So after i pulled off the rear fairings; I came across this ugly plate that made up the rear of the bike; it had to go.

All better:

Next i had to address getting the front end in order.

This is what it looks like now:

...and this is what i could look like with over-night parts from japan.

Currently working on some "light" wiring work

Also i should note that nothing you see is permanent yet just trying to get everything mocked up before final mounting and the current seat isn't staying. I'm going to attempt something like this:

maybe you could do a variation of a monster seat?

I like the design but i'd like to retain 2 person usability. My honda ruckus doesn't fit anyone on the back and its kind of a bummer.

Got the front buttoned up. I wish there were something to shroud the gauges. I have a feeling that weather might get to them.

Sprayed the rear. Its a decently close match for now.
